The things people usually ask before their first top-up.
Do I have to sign a contract?+
No. SMS is prepaid: you buy a pack when you need credits. WhatsApp plans run for the month or year you pay for, with nothing to cancel.
How much does a sender ID cost?+
Registering a sender ID, so messages show your organisation's name instead of a number, costs KES 6,500 per network. Apply from the Sender IDs page in your dashboard.
What are bonus credits?+
Free extra SMS credits added on top of bigger packs. They work exactly like the credits you paid for, which is why bigger packs cost less per message.
How are long SMS charged?+
One credit covers one SMS part of up to 160 characters. A longer message is split into parts, and each part uses one credit.
Is WhatsApp charged per message?+
No. WhatsApp is a flat plan based on how many numbers you connect. The messages you send from those numbers are not counted against credits.
What happens when my WhatsApp plan ends?+
It expires at the end of the period you paid for. Renew it from the billing page in your dashboard to keep your numbers sending.
